This Sr. Manager role on the Communications team supports enterprise priorities by leading the planning, coordination, and execution of major internal initiatives and employee engagement programs while ensuring those initiatives are supported by clear, effective internal communications.
The position serves as a central program lead responsible for organizing and delivering key internal programs that connect employees to company priorities, leadership messaging, and strategic initiatives. This includes live media preparation and organization across the enterprise. While the role sits within the Communications organization, the primary focus is on program execution, operational coordination, and cross-functional alignment, with internal communications support serving as a complementary component of the role. In addition, the role requires strong executive presence and ability to coordinate and prepare across various business units’ objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong program management discipline and the ability to translate complex initiatives into structured internal programs that are supported by clear communication and high-quality executive materials.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Programs & Internal Initiatives
Lead planning and execution of enterprise internal initiatives and employee engagement programs aligned to company priorities. This includes building program frameworks, managing timelines and execution plans, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring initiatives are delivered in a structured and organized manner that drives employee awareness and participation.
Support the operational delivery of large internal programs, leadership engagements, and enterprise initiatives by managing planning cycles, coordinating internal teams, and overseeing program logistics from concept through execution.
Executive Communications & Leadership Support
May be asked to support developing executive leader internal communications, briefing materials, and program preparation tied to enterprise initiatives and leadership engagements. May assist with the creation of internal messaging, leadership updates, and supporting materials that help communicate company priorities and initiatives.
When needed, provide communications support related to executive communications plans, crisis or rapid-response communications and internal messaging tied to major company initiatives.
Internal Communications Integration
Partner with communications and business leaders to ensure internal initiatives are supported by clear and consistent messaging across internal platforms and channels. May be asked to assist with the development of internal communications materials that support enterprise initiatives, employee engagement programs, and leadership communications.
Skills & Experience
- 3 – 5 years strong program management and operational coordination skills, with experience supporting complex internal initiatives or enterprise programs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across teams in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- 3 – 5 years proven experience in internal or corporate communications, including employee communications strategy and execution, and executive and leadership messaging. Must have strong writing, editing and message development skills to support as needed.
- Experience developing executive presentations and visual communication materials, with strong design quality using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms.
May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.
This role requires a minimum but is not limited to approximately 10% travel.
This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the contiguous United States. #LI-Remote

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $83,391 - $151,421
Low (N1): $83,391 - $125,087
Mid (N2): $87,780 - $131,670
High (N3): $96,558 - $144,837
Top (N4): $100,947 - $151,421
