DIRECTV is seeking an Employee Experience Specialist to be part of our Information Technology Chief of Staff team. This developing professional is responsible for contributing to the design, implementation, and assessment of employee engagement initiatives that enhance workplace culture and drive organizational productivity. The Specialist supports the delivery of programs that foster positive Information Technology employee experiences throughout the employment lifecycle, working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to create a workplace environment aligned with organizational values and objectives.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Primary Focus Area

1. IT Rewards & Recognition Program Management – 35%

  • Plan and execute recognition events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate communication, nominations, and award logistics.
  • Track participation and impact metrics.
  • Partner with HR, IT leadership, and communications for visibility and alignment.

Strategic & Cultural Initiatives

2. Support for Chief of Staff Strategic Initiatives – 20%

  • Assist in implementing strategic goals within IT (e.g., culture, engagement, innovation).
  • Draft communications or presentation materials.
  • Track milestones and assist with follow-ups.

Change Management Support

3. Change Management Activities – 10%

  • Support the rollout of new tools or processes.
  • Aid in developing training or communication materials.
  • Collect feedback and summarize adoption trends.

IT Internship Program Coordination

4. Internship Experience Program – 10%

  • Coordinate events, onboarding, and check-ins.
  • Assist with logistics, scheduling, and intern engagement tracking.
  • Support post-program reporting and lessons learned.

Onboarding & Offboarding Process Improvements

5. Process Improvement Projects – 10%

  • Partner with HR and IT to streamline onboarding and offboarding workflows.
  • Document process maps or identify automation opportunities.
  • Support pilot testing and rollout of improvements.

Metrics, Analysis & Reporting

6. Metrics Collection and Reporting – 10%

  • Compile and visualize monthly metrics for IT programs.
  • Assist in developing dashboards or PowerPoint updates.
  • Analyze participation or engagement trends to inform decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

7. General Project Coordination & Communication – 5%

  • Attend meetings, take notes, and manage action items.
  • Support communication channels across teams.
  • Assist with project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira).

What you’ll need to be successful:

Required Experience & Skills

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in project management, employee engagement, organizational development, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing employee surveys or feedback mechanisms.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience coordinating employee programs, events, or recognition initiatives.
  • Strong project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Technical Skills

  • Data Analysis: Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization.
  • Analytics Tools: Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Communication Platforms: Experience with employee communication tools and intranet systems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for presentations and reporting.

  • Basic understanding of Information Technology Operations, including Agile ways of working.
  • Understanding of employee engagement principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of organizational development concepts and workplace culture strategies.
  • Familiarity with employee lifecycle stages and touchpoints.
  • Awareness of current trends in employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Basic understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance considerations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications, media, or large corporate environments.
  • Background in change management or organizational development initiatives.
  • Experience with employee recognition platform administration.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $65,645 - $119,255

Low (N1): $65,645 - $98,515

Mid (N2): $69,100 - $103,700

High (N3): $76,010 - $114,070

Top (N4): $79,465 - $119,255
