DIRECTV is seeking an experienced and strategic Ad Sales, Director of Programmatic Account Management to lead our efforts in building and managing strategic collaborations across DIRECTV Advertising. This key leadership role will focus on managing our Account Management team to drive revenue across DIRECTV’s programmatic products working directly with our strategic key accounts including buyers at agencies, client direct, and DSPs to activate demand. The Director will play an integral role in supporting the DIRECTV sales team with planning, strategizing, executing, and monitoring all programmatic deals. The Director will serve as our programmatic subject matter expert and lead our Account Management team in being our partners’ day-to-day contact providing superior customer service leading to revenue retention, growth, and renewals.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Manage a team of Account Managers to increase revenue across our Programmatic Products.
  • Be responsible for a team who manages PG and PMP setup, optimizations, reporting, and daily management in our SSPs.
  • Build, maintain, and manage deep relationships with Agencies, Trading Desks, DSPs, SSPs, and all demand sources.
  • Provide high-level of customer service to DIRECTV sales and clients with effective communication, timely responses to requests, and proactive resolutions to potential issues.
  • Help strategize and respond to RFPs, client programmatic deal requests, and general capability inquires based on client’s criteria, KPIs, and targeting parameters.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of DIRECTV’s programmatic offering, strategy, best practices, capabilities, and products to educate and evangelize both internally and externally serving as a programmatic subject matter expert.
  • Work alongside senior sales leadership, finance, inventory, operations, product, research and product marketing on programmatic inventory packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop strategies for demand across all indirect and direct programmatic channels.
  • Present Agency and key partner performance to senior leadership.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations in digital advertising.
  • Represent DIRECTV Advertising at industry events and conferences.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years required, 7+ years of experience desired in digital advertising, programmatic account management, or related roles.
  • 3+ years of team management experience.
  • Expertise in working with SSPs, DSPs, ad servers, and other optimization platforms.
  • Proven track record of growing accounts by forging strong relationships with clients, understanding their objectives, and recommending best strategies.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities for data driven decision making.
  • Ability to work well with others and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience working in MS Office and Excel including pivot tables and manipulation of large data sets.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills at the executive level.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, while paying close attention to detail.
  • End-to-end knowledge of the advertising sales process.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.

This is a New York City, NY, based position that works both in-office (2 days/week) and remotely. #LI-Remote

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position and work location(s) listed in the job posting US Labor Market Zone(s). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONE

N4: $140,875 - $211,255

Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
