The Director of Strategic Field Partner (Program) Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing DIRECTV's field partner relationships. This position leads a team of Strategic Field Partner Management professionals, driving strategic initiatives to enhance partner performance, maximize revenue opportunities, and ensure alignment with business unit (BU) objectives. The Director serves as a key liaison between field partners and internal stakeholders, leveraging data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive innovation.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize partner relationships, performance, and revenue generation.
  • Oversee the negotiation and management of partner contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Drive innovation in partner management processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Analyze BU data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align partner strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for partner performance and team effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular partner reviews and strategy sessions to ensure ongoing alignment and success.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Field Partner Management professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Manage budget and resource allocation for the Strategic Field Partner Management team.
  • Represent the company at industry events and partner meetings as needed.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent business experience; MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in partner management, business development, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing partner relationships in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiation, commercial agreements, and partnership structures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management abilities, including experience in hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align partner strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement process improvements.
  • Experience in change management and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, driving results through effective partner management and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in partner management and a passion for building and nurturing long-term business relationships.

This role requires, but is not limited to, travel up to 10% of the time for partner meetings and industry events.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $96,140 - $174,570

Low (N1): $96,140 - $144,210

Mid (N2): $101,200 - $151,800

High (N3): $111,320 - $166,980

Top: (N4): $116,380 - $174,570
