DIRECTV is seeking an experienced Director of Benefits to join our Human Resources team. This position plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing our health care benefits programs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience working with large organizations of 5000+ employees and managing a team of Benefit professionals. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance employee needs with organizational goals while ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Here's What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of DIRECTV's comprehensive benefits programs.
  • Develop and execute benefits strategies that align with DIRECTV's overall rewards philosophy and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, insurance carriers, and consultants/brokers to ensure optimal service delivery and cost management.
  • Analyze benefits utilization data and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements to our benefits offerings.
  • Oversee the annual benefits enrollment process, including communication strategies and employee education initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Manage a team of benefits professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage the annual benefits budget, including forecasting and cost containment strategies.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in benefits management, with at least 5 years at a senior level.
  • Proven experience working with large organizations of 5000+ employees.
  • Strong understanding of benefits-related laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and benefits administration platforms.
  • CEBS, CCP, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
  • May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

This role requires minimal travel but is not limited to, potentially 5%, for meetings with vendors and on-site sessions in El Segundo, CA, a few times each year.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415

Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995

Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100

High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310

Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
