Technical Support Specialist

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, screening, analyzing and troubleshooting installation and repair work order issues. This position is responsible for interacting with employees, customers, vendors and any other entity necessary to resolve installation and repair work order problems. Performs other generally related duties as assigned by management.

The functions listed below are representative of duties performed by this job title. Duties generally include but are not limited to the following:

• Extensive customer and field contact by telephone, chat, etc.
• Resolve installation and repair work order issues.
• Provides technical and diagnostic assistance.
• Identifies and escalates issues with equipment, broadcast programming and/or product software/firmware.
• Interacts and coordinates with other departments to resolve issues.
• Uses information from various systems to determine further actions.
• Effectively communicates with other departments to ensure accuracy of requests.
• Operates a computer terminal.
• Uses desktop computer to enter data and/or obtain information.
• Processes work to meet commitments with specific deadlines.
• Follows established office and safety practices and procedures.
• Completes training as required to meet minimum requirements of the job.
• Provides support to other agents as needed.

• Ability to lift and/or exert force of up to 10 lbs.
• Types for prolonged periods of time.


Except where candidate is exempt based on company policy, minimum qualifying scores must be met on:

  • Customer Service Assessment (CSA).
  • Telephone Abilities Battery (TAB).


  • Must be willing to work days, evenings or night tours; overtime, weekends, holidays and split shifts as required.


  • Proficient in various computer applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid problem solving skills with proficient attention to detail
