Receives, stocks, pulls, distributes, ships and tracks materials, tools, and equipment; performs order fulfillment processes on multiple programs; sorts and places materials on racks, shelves or in bins; maintains accurate inventory records; operates power-driven material handling equipment; and performs other generally associated functions. May also handle projects as assigned. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Wears appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures.
  • Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments.
  • Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Pulls and distributes materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill technician requests.
  • Prepares merchandise for shipment as required.
  • Moves and lifts materials, supplies, related stock and equipment weighing up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system.
  • Completes requisition forms to order additional equipment and supplies.
  • Sorts all waste including trash, recycling, cardboard and electronics as required.
  • Works on a job where a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Works independently with little supervision.
  • Drives Company vehicle.
  • Loads Company trucks with tools and equipment; drives to other Company garages and storerooms; and refills installation, repair and line trucks with stock supplies.
  • Receives returned goods from the field, appraises them, and determines if they should be returned to the supplier or put back in stock.
  • Collects and sorts packages, records and supplies. Prepares merchandise for shipment as required.
  • Operates power-driven material handling equipment.
  • Handles a variety of clerical and record-keeping duties.

  • Specific assignments may involve driving a company vehicle. These assignments require a minimum age of 18, an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory attendance record and performance ratings in present job.
  • Satisfactory results from a security investigation, as required, unless previously met.
  • Other factors, which may vary, based on work group requirements.
Physical Requirements:
  • May require a maximum candidate weight limit of 325 pounds dressed in working clothes.
  • Must be able to perform work involving kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • May require working outside in all kinds of weather.
  • May require working in an environment that is not heated or air conditioned

Hours vary depending upon assignment. Must be willing to work days, evenings or nights. May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
