Dive into Content Strategy, Compliance and Development as a summer of 2023 intern! The work our team does impacts DIRECTV products directly: from shaping our product evolution to our customer base management and strategy, from how we remain flexible in a changing digital landscape to how our brand is perceived in a multitude of channels (social media, live events, traditional media, etc).
Depending on your interests and area of study, you’ll get the chance to work with one of our teams (content strategy, content compliance, product development, digital content, sports content, and transactional content) on projects that help drive the future of DIRECTV. Wherever you may land, you will get the chance to put your education and skills to the test and see real world effects!
In this role, you may work on:
Retransmission Content consent: Broadcast television Groups or independents
International Content, General Market: Assist with retransmission, international and other projects such as SVOD content updates
Sports Production: Launch new business production/programming; Research on partners/trends; programming and channel analysis
Content Strategy: Competitive analysis (product and content offerings); Viewership analytics; adhoc key initiative projects happening at that time
Content Compliance: documentation organization; cross functional project management; database management and requirements; contract analysis
Digital Content: SVOD analysis with new service launches
Sports Content: Overview of sports media marketplace with an emphasis on over the top distribution; 4K; rights deals; interactivity and linear networks
Transactional Content: Review, tracking and acquisition of content for original 4K and PPV channels
Product Development – Live Content: Work on channel onboarding, feasibility and launch roadmap
Product Development – SVOD: Work on onboarding and go to market planning for bundles and ala carte services

Strong interest in entertainment (business side)

Microsoft Suite (Excel, PPT)
Well-organized and able to prioritize
Skillful in written and verbal communication
Self-motivated and able to hold oneself accountable to tasks
Various start dates are available with a program end date of August 11th, 2023.
