Senior Direct Sourcing Manager

The Direct Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in the successful operations of the company managing products and services that are offered to DIRECTV customers. This role contributes to the performance of the company by negotiating terms and conditions, and pricing, ensuring goods are received on time and in accordance with the appropriate quality standards, delivering a highly capable and cost-effective supply base, and support to the Planning and Procurement teams and other areas of Supply Chain management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual obligations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contract modifications, follow-up quotations, revisions, terms and conditions with vendors
  • Responsible for the review and administration of contracts
  • Responsible for commercial contract issues, negotiations and/or administration of licensing agreements including renewal, new business, invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues and consolidations.
  • Administers contracts in accordance with company and customer policies and procedures, provide interpretation and analysis of contract documents and reviews and evaluates customer requests for changes in or revisions of contracts that involve technical specifications, cost, or schedule impact on the company.
  • Manages RFx and Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationship
  • Understands global, economic, exchange factors affecting commodities, as well as cost drivers and TCO
  • Assists in the development of long and short-term objectives to ensure that programs and efforts are directed toward achieving company goals.
  • Assists in the establishment and administration of unit policies, procedures and systems. Participates in the development of goals and budgets for area of responsibility.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Required Qualifications:
  • Five or more years experience in management of strategic supplier relationships and contracts
  • Ability to manage intense workload with short timeframes
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Procurement
