The DIRECTV Manager, Sales Compensation is responsible for performing complex sales compensation activities and managing projects focused on sales compensation design and administration
Roles and responsibilities of the Manager, Sales Compensation includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Manage projects focused on sales compensation design and administration
  • Communicating sales force/sales compensated plans including preparation of all plan roll out materials and plan updates
  • Performs complex sales compensation activities for assigned channel(s)
  • Design and/or administration of sales compensation, incentive or recognition programs
  • Analysis of competitive compensation data.
  • Analyzes compensation plans to ensure effectiveness.
  • Explain and interpret sales compensation policies and procedures.
  • Develop and distribute new and/or changes to existing sales plan documents.
  • Lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
  • Perform analysis of competitive compensation data.

  • Management of sales incentives, commissions and/or recognition plan designs and/or delivery functions as needed
  • Primary point of contact for sales compensation within assigned channel
  • Interact with all levels of management in explaining compensation payments
  • Interact frequently with IT to resolve issues

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years experience managing compensation design, administration and managing sales compensation plans
  • Strong analytical skills; analysis of compensation payments
  • Proven experience with design and/or administration of sales compensation programs
  • Experience interpreting sales compensations policies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High skill level and extensive Microsoft experience ( EXCEL, ACCESS, Business Office)
  • Project management experience
  • Detailed knowledge of compensation system in order to determine any root cause of potential issues.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management
  • Must be able to interact with IT as needed
Desired Skills, Experience and Education:
  • 5 years experience managing compensation design, administration and managing sales compensation plans
  • Experience leading team efforts
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Administration preferred
